Bright Up announces the transition of Co-Founder Dominic Müller

After co-founding and building Bright Up together over the past 1.5 years, Co-Founder and Co-Managing Director Dominic Müller will hand over his operational responsibilities and leave the company in mid-August 2025. As of today, Marco Niemann will continue to lead Bright Up as sole Managing Director, guiding the company into its next exciting phase of growth.

The decision was reached by mutual agreement and on the best of terms, reflecting both Bright Up’s evolving strategic priorities and Dominic’s wish to dedicate himself fully to his personal passion: the world of gaming and esports.

Bright Up was founded as a commercial agency in the gaming and esports sector – and that DNA will always remain at our core. Today, we are expanding our scope into the fast-growing universe of New Sports Entertainment: hybrid environments where sports, gaming and entertainment come together. This is not a departure from our roots, but a natural evolution that builds on them.

In recent months, Bright Up has laid the groundwork for this direction, with projects such as our partnerships in small-field football (Baller League) and darts (collaboration with Germany’s #1 darts player, Martin Schindler). Within our wider group, other companies have also embraced this space: the Influencer Darts World Championship and Eintracht Spandau’s engagement in both esports and the Baller League are prime examples of how physical competition, gaming culture, and creator-driven storytelling can merge in exciting ways.

This expanded focus reflects Bright Up’s ambition to partner with rights holders and brands that move seamlessly between genres, platforms and audiences – creating impactful, culturally relevant activations.

Dominic has played a central role in shaping Bright Up’s identity, building strong relationships, and bringing our first projects to life. We are proud of what we have achieved together and grateful for his dedication from day one. As part of this transition, Dominic will also transfer his shares to the remaining shareholders in mutual agreement – a step taken in full support of the company’s journey ahead.

Dominic will always be an important part of Bright Up’s story and legacy as a Co-Founder – and we wish him the very best for his next chapter.
